The Fat Boys Adventures website is hosted on infrastructure powered entirely by renewable energy.
Independent testing shows the site achieves a carbon rating of A, meaning it produces significantly less carbon than the vast majority of websites on the internet. Each page view generates approximately 0.10 grams of CO₂, making the site cleaner than around 91% of websites currently online.
The website is hosted with Hetzner, a German data centre operator known for its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable infrastructure. Hetzner operates modern data centre facilities designed to minimise environmental impact through efficient cooling systems, high-performance hardware and carefully managed power usage.
All Hetzner data centre parks operate using 100% renewable electricity, primarily generated from hydropower in Germany and a combination of hydropower and wind energy in Finland.
While Fat Boys Adventures is ultimately about motorcycles, travel and adventure, running the website itself on renewable-powered infrastructure is a small step towards reducing the environmental impact of the digital side of the project.
